John Pratt is a graphic artist working across a diverse range of media, including printmaking, drawing, collage, artist’s books, and public space projections. His practice is driven by an ongoing exploration of the relationship between people and the environments they inhabit.
Through a series of exhibitions, John has examined the impact of human presence across a wide variety of landscapes—from natural parks in the ACT and southern coastal regions to suburban settings and the dynamic streetscapes of the CBD. His work reflects a deep interest in how we interact with, shape, and are shaped by these spaces.
At the core of his practice is an investigation into the interchange between human existence and the physical world. His current work builds on this foundation, delving further into our connection with natural elements—particularly water—and how these forces influence our experience of place.
